Prior to joining Teach For All, Mrs. Marwa Farouq Al Hefnawi was a Managing Partner and organizational development consultant. She has more than 13 years of management and human resources consulting experience serving diverse clients in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, banking, NGO, and engineering.
Marwa specializes in organizational diagnosis/assessment, culture development, change management, and coaching and leadership development. She started her career as a teaching assistant in the Management Information Systems department in the Arab Academy for Science & Technology. Subsequently, she joined ProMark Ltd. as a human resources consultant associate, where she implemented organizational development projects and human resources-related assignments.
Almost eight years ago, Mrs. Farouq joined SKOPOS Consulting Group as an organizational development consultant. Since then, she has worked in and led consulting teams that supported organizations in developing their cultures and managing change. She has worked with different organizations in countries including Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Jordan, Nigeria, Dubai, Ghana, Lebanon, and Iraq. She has coached and developed executives and middle managers around the region and has completed more than 1500 hours of coaching throughout her career. Marwa has also delivered more than 500 training and facilitation days for a diverse range of programs including leadership development, teambuilding, oganizational development skills, change management, and management skills.
In addition to her consulting experience, Mrs. Farouq has pursued her passion for the development of healthy families and youth. Through her family coaching practice Blossom Family, and the Character
Development Club for children, she has coached and worked with community youth, parents and teachers to support their journey of development.
Mrs. Farouq is the author of Thoughts That Don’t Rhyme and has written a number of articles in Egypt's DG magazine, Lale Magazine in Turkey, and the Turkish newspaper, Daily Sabah. She also manages her own parenting and family development blog.
Marwa holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science & Technology, where she also earned an MBA with a major in Human Resources. In addition to her academic qualifications, she has earned several professional development certifications, including Certified Executive Coach (World Coach Institute), Certified Family & Youth Coach (World Coach Institute), Certified Youth Counselor (Counseling Institute), and Parent Peer Leadership Program (NVC Academy).
Mrs. Farouq is an advocate of peaceful living and parenting and worked with the Bay Area Center for Nonviolent Communication (BayNVC) in their Parent Peer Leadership Program program for two years. Through Caritas, she has also worked with African and Middle Eastern refugees in Turkey on parenting and family dynamics during their traumatic experiences.
