There is no average student, or person—yet, we have been operating in systems designed for an average. We know through studies in neuroscience that we all have different learning profiles, that context matters, and that there are multiple pathways for success. But the systems in which we work do not address the learning needs of all students. In this session we will explore how to redesign learning to better understand, support, and amplify the human potential of ALL of our learners. The session will unfold in two acts:

Summit Public Schools is designed to equip all learners with the skills, knowledge and habits that they need to realize their full and unique potential in life. In this session, we will engage in a series of activities that replicate the personalized learning methods used at Summit Public Schools in order to learn about the learning theories, science and design components that support a personalized learning environment.
